Benefits are decent. Good company to start a career and if you are willing to move continue a career. The company did provide a lot of fun benefits like trips to Las Vegas and team building activities. Pros Flexibility. Cons No chance of promotion without moving around the country. The organization has some great brands and great opportunities to make an actual difference. The new parent company is even aggressive about pursuing those opportunities. But there's a disconnect between what's possible and what's expected.

You will not actually interview to move up, its solely based on how your manager presents you to the management team. I had 3 different managers over my 5 year tenure and each once made the job drastically different. If you get a great manager then its a really great position. The job can get a lonely as you rarely see coworkers, you need to be comfortable being on the road pretty much all day.
The benefits are decent, pretty much industry standard. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking the company car is an amazing benefit, you still have to pay monthly for it. It is essentially a lease. Too many ininatives. Products shoved down customers throats. Too much busy work. Jumping from one fire to the next. Have worked harder and gotten the worst bonuses in the past two years.
Promotions are too conservative and hard to carve a path. Management good, but place to much value in doing things one specific way. Too much butt kissing to get ahead instead of just being great at what you do. This is a good position for a recent college graduate looking for an entry level sales position as they begin their career. I would recommend it people who have a desire to relocate, because that's the only way you'll ever advance above the TM level. Staying at the TM level may be ideal for some, but I became burnt out on it, and knew that there weren't any advancement opportunities within the company because of my lack of willingness to relocate.
Cons Upper management doesn't value TMs as much anymore, the role is becoming more micromanaged, bonus are getting smaller every year, and vacant assignments take too long to be filled. Great company, great management, fun culture. I have really enjoyed my time so far at RAI. The people have been amazing and they really invest in training and creating a dynamic work culture. Goals are clearly outlined with the resources available to meet those goals.

Cons Mobility somewhat necessary to advance. Managers are pretty cut throat. Tobacco is big business and will take a serious commitment to the tobacco product. If you have a good DM it can be rewarding.
Autonomy is good. The job takes up too much of your leisure time. The people you work with are helpful. You are constantly learning new things. You're working out of your car and home office the whole time. You also have opportunities to travel and see some really cool places for trade shows. Super flexible and trusting of employees considering there isn't an office to report to and none of my dm's micro-managed, but there are some that do. Honestly, your experience with this company depends on the dm you get in your territory.

Cons Marketing materials ship late for new product releases, sometimes stores never even reciece product because we shorted our initial supply, it can be high stress and draining at times, and long drives if your out in the boonies.
Analytics team is growing, make sure you work on the right projects to keep yourself excited about future, a lot less stressful than other gigs. Exciting times ahead with the merger with BAT. Literally never enough work hours in the day to complete what needs to be done. This company also has no active HR presence with employees that work in production. Pros Benefits, vacation time, salary and contributions to k. Cons Lack of resources to do your job and ineffective management. Management has no time to support you. The company is no longer people driven. They say they are interested in employees ability to learn and grow but there's no time for them to do it.
It's changed since the BAT takeover. There's no one advocating for Territory Manager's time. Succession planning has been swapped for hiring external candidates for their experience. Unless you're a global graduate or hired directly into senior management, I don't see why anyone should start a career here.
